Safe Drinking Water- Bio Sand Water Filter Program

Working since 2019.
320 Bio Sand Filter (BSF) distributed.
Maintaining high standards during the construction, installation, and testing of BSF.
Organized 09 awareness cum training programs to create awareness among the users and the community on maintaining cleanliness, personal hygiene, family hygiene, drinking water storage, and cleaning practices of BSF.
Regular information and publicity by printing wall posters, handbills, a handbook on BSF, wall writing, and street play on personal hygiene, community hygiene, family hygiene, potable water storage, and drinking water practices.
Regular follow-up visits by the ASS team to all BSF beneficiaries and motivated them about the regular use of filters, quality /taste of water, and issues related to the operation & maintenance of filters.
Personal health improvements & reduction of water-borne diseases in the area.

Meri Panchayat Meri Shakti-Achieving Feminist Human Rights
ACHIEVEMENTS
1000 Women Leaders and Adolescent girls Leaders functioning effectively as agents of change in local government institutions and at the community level.
Creation of a positive environment that upholds the principles of feminist leadership, decision-making, and effective local governance.
The target groups gained skills and confidence to negotiate at an individual, societal and systemic level along with an ability to establish themselves as feminist leaders for the community.

Women Gaining Ground- Promoting capacity and transformative leadership of young women and girls and women with disabilities
ACHIEVEMENTS
Promoted young women and disabled women leadership and political participation in 2 blocks, 15 Panchayats & 66 villages of Muzaffarpur district.
Total coverage 1,959 as state holders (Adolescents, SHGs, HSP, Parents, Disabled and EWRs) and non-state holders (Adolescents, SHGs, HSP, Parents, Disabled and EWRs & Trainer)
Promotion of a positive frame of mind and environment for the program and women's rights movement.
The target groups have started working in Groups. “We” feelings are now replacing “I” Feelings.
Leadership quality has developed among women & WDDs.
Improved people’s knowledge and learning on gender-based violence, health, and reproductive & sexual health of women and WDDs.

16 Days Activism (Campaigning) Program- Ending violence and gender-based discrimination against all women, girls, and transgender people
ACHIEVEMENTS
Worked for ending violence and gender-based discrimination against all women, girls, and transgender people in 10 Panchayats of Marwan, Musahari, and Kurhani blocks of Muzaffarpur district.
A total of 1177 women, 423 adolescent girls, 30 disabled women, and 16 transgender participated in this campaign to make it a great success.

2 Education Centers for poor children functioning since 2016 in Muzaffarpur.
600 poor and marginalized children benefitted through quality learning and were involved in the formal schooling process.
